Vessel Occluding and Retracting Loops

QUEST MEDICAL'S RETRACT-O-TAPE® is an air-cushioned vascular loop designed to provide today's surgeon maximum control and visibility of the anastomotic site with minimal trauma to delicate tissue. Not only does it occlude vessels to stop the flow of blood to the anastamotic site, but it can be used to hold or position an organ to improve visualization of the site. Typically used in cardiovascular, thoracic vascular, orthopedic, and urological surgery, its features include:

• AIR-CUSHIONED GENTLENESS A round, hollow silicone tube sealed at both ends, forms an air cushion that maintains the round profile of the tubing while providing the necessary flexibility to manipulate, tighten, and relax the loops.

• SILASTIC QUALITY Under traction, the Retract-O-Tape loop flattens sufficiently to occlude or retract a vessel properly, without creating an edge that can damage delicate tissue.

• PRE-ATTACHED CURVED NEEDLE A specially designed, pre-attached, curved needle offers superior control for safe, quick positioning, allowing the loop to be passed easily around a vessel without requiring dissection of surrounding tissue, so time is saved and tissue trauma is minimized.

• ELASTICITY IDEAL FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE Retract-O-Tape's elasticity is critical when occluding coronary vasculature during minimally invasive or off-pump procedures. It moves with the heart that is being manipulated yet it maintains complete occlusion.

• LATEX FREE Retract-O-Tape loops are latex free, an important feature for increasing numbers of latex-sensitive patients and healthcare workers.

Retract-O-Tape vascular loops are available in 5 different sizes, including a 10 gauge loop for gently handling large vessels (such as the saphenous vein) without a hemostat or clip.

SaddleLoop devices are part of the Retract-O-Tape family with radiopaque silicone tubing, 10 cm in length, with sealed ends to provide an air-cushioned surgical tool for manipulating anatomical organs and structures to either retract them or ligate vessels with minimum trauma.

Essential to robotic surgery is the unique integrated locking mechanism which maintains tension, without reducing visibility, and occludes with a single pass of the 18 gauge needle. Needle tips are available in blunt or semi-pointed.
